EnviroCollective is growning and we are looking for people to fill key roles in Regina's Climate Hub. We are looking for a dynamic Communications Coordiantor to oversee our media relations. Our new Event Coordinator will overseee 3 to 4 key community events through the year and as a Youth Programmer have resources to mentor youth and share resources to education facitilites, see more....  

Board Membership

Becoming a board member with EnviroCollective Network (ECN), would involve a monthly meeting and potentially a monthly two-hour online event. As a board member you would be involved in the overall operation. You would give input on policy, direction, governance, and recruitment. You may be asked to participate in subcommittee work.

Event Coordinator

As a hub, ECN will hold three to four key events throughout the year. The coordinator will be responsible for planning and hosting ECN first annual Recycle Arts Festival and Trade Show to highlight artists and businesses that are involved in the circular economy and environmental sustainability as a means to educate and excite the community about waste reduction, reuse and recycling in Regina


- Working with board members to set up monthly Zoom or in person community meetings; 

- Research timely topics, find guest speakers and work with communications coordinator on a marketing campaign for each event; and

- Overseeing event tickets and/or registration, tracking participant advertising on all social media, Television, radio, cable.

Climate Hub Captain (Board Position)

This position would involve approximately five hours a month organizing sub committees under the Climate Reality Canada structure and networking with the national body.  A background in organizational behaviour and project management would be an asset.


- Promote Climate Reality Leadership Corps training for people interested in being climate activists on how they can attend a future Climate Reality Leader training led by Al Gore and a team of worldrenowned scientists, activists, innovators, and more; and

- Oversee volunteers interested in data gathering to help with Climate Reality National Climate League’s (NCL) measure what matters from their twentythree hub cities.

  • NCL chose indicators based on five criteria:  accessibility, comparability across cities, the ability of municipal governments to act, their impact on GHG emissions, and whether the average citizen cares about that particular indicator improving. They have developed 15 primary and 15 complementary indicators that are representative of living a better and more sustainable life and release the national standings on a yearly basis.

Communications / Media Relations: (Board Position)

This position would develop and run an effective communications strategy and is a key component of the organization's strategic role as an information hub around climate action. A background in communications would be an asset with a general understanding of social media platforms and video production.


- Building a team of community bloggers that would submit stories on an ongoing basis to our Instagram page;

- Develop corporate strategies for LinkedIn; and

- Update local climate news and initiatives to our Facebook Discussion page.

Youth Coordinator (Board Position)

This position would be responsible for engaging youth that have shown interest in being involved in climate action. ECN has a signed a Memorandum of Understanding to be the administrative support for Fridays for Future Regina and be the adult mentor for the organization. ECN is also a member of Climate Reality Project who oversees the Campus Corps program worldwide. A background in teaching and youth mentoring would be helpful. The candidate must be able to complete a criminal record and vulnerable sector check.


- Assess candidates and align them with groups, organizations or networks that would best align with their passions;

-Through networking have an understanding of initiatives and events that are happening within the elementary, high school and University systems in the city and elsewhere;

- Adult mentor for Fridays for Future Regina;

- Liaison helping Campus Corps network with university clubs, groups and climate initiatives happening on campus; and

-Provide educational resource materials through to teachers and educators with curriculumaligned lesson plans for classroom study.
